Personal note
I wrote this piece at a somewhat difficult time in my life, while trying to understand what had shaped me as a person and as a musician. That is when I thought of the pasodoble, a genre I have always loved and have enjoyed as a listener, as a performer and now also as a composer.
It is an honour for me that it is part of the archive of the Filarmónica de Olivenza on its 175th anniversary, dedicated with all my affection to maestro Juan Beltrán, to Javier Ferrera and to all my fellow band members.
